Top 10 Johnny Cash Songs
Johnny Cash AKA “The Man in Black” (born February 26, 1932 ? September 12, 2003) is considered by many to be one of the most influential musicians ever. Most would classify him as a country music artist, but his work reached into rock-and-roll as well. His work immortalized him, and even after his death, he still is as popular as ever.
Several things distinguish his style. He always wore black for concerts. He nearly always started those concerts saying “Hello, I’m Johnny Cash“. He also regularly performed with his wife June Carter Cash.
In 1985, Cash joined with Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson to form a super group called The Highwaymen. The group produced many hits including “Highwayman”, and a cover of Guy Clark’s “Desperados Waiting for a Train”.
To prepare for Eric Church’s new release on July 26, 2011, we wanted to showcase some of the best music videos that Church has made to date. He is set on changing the sound of country music, similar to artists like George Strait, Garth Brooks, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash all have. His music videos represent him and his attitude magnificently.
Church graduated from Appalachian State university with a degree in marketing. He was engaged to a woman whose father wanted Church to join the corporate ranks rather than follow his passion of music… Church chose music over the girl. He has gone on to write many hits, including “The World Needs A Drink” which was made popular by Terri Clark. He is now married and is expecting a child in October of 2011.
Now for the music videos…
