Eli Young Band and Jeff Bridges [New Music Tuesday]

EYB leads off “Life at Best” with the single “Crazy Girl, the perfect introduction that will lead the listener through a journey mixed with country twang, the feel of the Eagles and Tom Petty, and do I dare say… U2. There is a very different sound from track to track on this album, but like all good country music, the steel guitar is present plenty (not that you can have too much). Excellent Album.

Jeff Bridges new album is his first, although he was responsible for many tracks on the Crazy Heart sound track. This album is worth a listen. The man known as Rooster Cogburn (True Grit) and “The Dude” (The Big Lebowski) is now a full-fledged musician. This is an album for the serious country music fan, due to the from-the-heart lyrics and the true to life feel.
